With Boston and Cleveland tied in the regular season who gets home field and why?

I believe its who ever won the most games between the 2 clubs...so if they played 13 times and the sox won 8 of the games...they get home-field advantage.

MLB maintains a list of statistical tiebreakers in such events. The first is head-to-head record on the season, and Boston won 5-2 over Cleveland.

Real fans know this stuff, or have read it at least once on Y!A over the past week. But we all start somewhere.
