I love biology and I would take the sat subject test for biology in a heartbeat, but I heard colleges don't even care and if you take it. is this true?

If you really know your bio then you might want to look at the CLEP General Biology exam. It's worth 8 semester hours of credit and most colleges accept CLEP exams for credit.

There's also a natural sciences exam that is 50% biology - don't take both though, they duplicate each other.

It depends on the college or university. Alot of them require at least two, but don't really care about the grades. Some put heavy dependence on the grades if they are in the field for which you will major, and some don't care at all. You'll have to check with each invdidual college and university for more information.
