I love Alexis as a boys' name (it always sounds odd to me on girls). I like all of your combinations, but my favorites are Gabriel Alexis and Helena Elizabeth.

I like Gabriel Alexis for a boy and Helena Elizabeth for a girl!

Okay, I know that Alexis is a unisex name, but, frankly, mainstream America will not view it that way. Especially if you plan on calling him Lexi. Its just not going to bode well for when he wants to be a macho-teenaged boy and he's called Lexi. Lex, maybe, or Alex, but not Lexi.
My choice is Samuel Alexis. I think Samuel (Sam) has such a nice ring to it. Its a handsome, strong, masculine name to balance out the possible feminitiy of Alexis.

I love love love Helena Elizabeth. How are you pronouncing Helena? I've heard it both heh-leh-nuh and huh-LAY-nah. I prefer the latter, but thats just me.

I love the fact that you are honoring your father. I think thats a great reasont o name your child whatever you want. Congratulations on your child, I can't wait to hear what you name him or her! He/she is lucky to have a mother so caring about his/her grandfather as to honor him in their name.

Well, I'm definitely partial to the name Gabriel, seeing as I'm 37 weeks along with my son, and I'm naming him Gabriel! Hah!

For a girl, out of that list, I like Naomi Juliette.

But I'm confused as to why all the boy names have Alexis with them - is that a family name. No offense, but I'm not fond of Alexis for a boy.

Good luck!

I think Alexis was probably acceptable as a boy name way back, but it's pretty much a girl name now in my opinion. Why not just name your son Lexi if you intend on predetermining his nick name? Just a thought...
As for the girl names, Helena reminds me of the volcano, but Naomi and Juliette are beautiful names.
Or how about Naomi Elizabeth?
I'm sure you will think of the perfect name once you see your precious bundle for the first time!
Good luck and God bless!! =]

Gabriel Alexis is the best sounding boy name that you have but it sounds girly. Helena Elizabeth is the best girl name.

Good luck and congrats!

I think Alexis is a girl name ESPECIALLY if you intend to call him Lexi. Perhaps you could name him Alexander and call him Alex?

As for the girl, I would go with Julie Elizabeth.
