What you have is probably not a real Sommers Island coin. Here's a link to a page on my site that will tell you (maybe) more than you want to know:

The chances of you having a real one is slim. I know, news you did not want to hear. They abound as copies and have been made for a good long time. Many were produced in the 1960's when the word copy was not required like today. It needs to be sent in to a certification service to be authenticated. ANACS is one of them, they can be reached at www.anacs.com. I would see a local dearer or two but they may not know much about your coin for it is a colonial coin and most dealers in modern coins have no idea about that subject. See if you can find a knowledgeable dealer in your area or send it to ANACS yourself.
