He was a great Historian and based some of his battle plans after The Roman and Carhagenian Generals of old.---He believed in reincarnation--He was himself a amatuer poet and read a great deal of Poetry. He was a West Point Cadet and Graduate. He was a 3 star General for sure and I think a 4 star upon retirement--He hated the Russians and wanted to continue fighting them after Germany was defeated in Worl War 2---- He is credited with defeating Rommel in North Africa and Hated the British General Montgomery--He is credited with retaking Sicily and Italy from the Germans--He was not involved in D - Day but used as a decoy as CVommanding General of a non Existant Army supposedly stationed in England---He was a Major Factor in the Battle of the Bulge as General of the 3rd Army Corps and the Retaking of the Town of Bastogne--He was not politically minded but caused Eisenhower--Roosevelt andTruman numerous problems by shooting off at the Mouth--Hope this Helps!!!!
