Art Is Calling For Me fron The Enchantress (a comic opera)

I Feel Pretty from West Side Story

A Little Bit In Love from Wonderful Town

These are wonderful comic pieces that show off performance as much as singing.

The Sound of Music from The Sound of Music

Think of Me or Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again form Phantom of the Opera

Once Upon A Dream from Jekyll & Hyde

Castle on a Cloud from Les Miserables

These are a little more heavy (emotion-wise). It really just depends on what you want to present.

Any of these pieces would work well for most young sopranos. I would suggest discussing it with a music teacher or voice instructor to find the perfect fit.

Well, it depends on what you sing best.

Do you do a good belt? Then try "Don't Rain on My Parade" from Funny Girl, "Let Me Entertain You" or "Rose's Turn" in Gypsy, or (something fun!) "Don't Tell Mama" from Cabaret.

Prefer a ballad? Maybe "We Can Never Go Back To Before," from Ragtime, or "What's the Use of Wonderin'" From Carousel. If you have a very high voice, try "Green Finch and Linnet Bird" from Sweeney Todd, or "Baubles, Bangles and Beads" from Kizmet.

For just plain fun, maybe try "Secondhand Rose" (also from Funny Lady), "Flamin' Agnes" from I Do! I Do!, "Adelaide's Lament" from Guys and Dolls, "Miss Marmelstein" from I Can Get It For You Wholesale or "Times Like This" from Lucky Stiff.
