Locate the fuse, and take a look at it. A lot of the times, if it is blown you can visually see the open in the fuse. If you are not sure, then use a continuity tester and see if the fuse passes electricity. A cheap multimeter is a good thing to have on hand.
good luck

It may have a fuse or a circuit breaker. Check owners manual for location of box and correct fuse (usually under or on the side of dash (although that could be in underhood box). Pull fuse out with a fuse puller and look from the side to see whether there is a solid piece of wavy metal inside the plastic that connects one side with the other. If not, it's blown. Replace with the same value, but be prepared, it may happen again. Fuses blow due to excessive load. The motor may be bad or on its way out or the ground connection for the circuit may be corroded. If you have the circuit breaker type rather than the fuse, it will either allow you to reset by pressing it or should reset on its own once the underlying problem is removed.

the other windows work,don't they?
it should stop all the windows if it were a fuse..
..i've been driving and fixing junky cars for many moons..with all the power windows i've fixed,90% of the time,it's a bad switch.
get a cheap 12 volt circut testeri make mine from a marker lite bulb from the junk yard
carefully pry the switch out..look for any screws..ask the guy's at the parts house how to pull a switch out..before unpluging the switch from the wires,i take a small piece of wire, strip the ends bare, and try touching diffrent connections together..it's only twelve volts, but if you get a arc or sparks, the wire WILL GET HOT!.. what you try to do is copy the same thing the switch does when it's working corectly..
this might get you're window to close, temporarily fixing the problem..replacing the bad switch with a junk yard switch sometimes doesn't work because they have been out tthere doing the same thing that made you're switch fail...sometimes you can get new ones from the dealer,i can't find one for my aerostar,so i just leave the switch hanging out,and use my jumper wires to open and close..it get's tricky trying to roll up the window at freeway speeds when a rainstorm comes uo!!..PULL OVER,FIX THE WINDOW, then--pull back into traffic..
it can be embarrasing at the drive throu,but-it beats making car payments!! good luck!

with your can running and the headlights on, try to raise the window and have friend watch the lights. If they dim, your window is stuck and the fuse is not blown. If they do not the fuse is blown. Alternately, check the fusebox.
