when they claim to support the troops?

By spinning Limbaugh's obvious insult they prove themselves more loyal to Rush Limbaugh than the soldiers who are sacrificing their lives.

You have bought a heinous lie and are trying to propagate it. He said no such thing...and just a smidgen of due diligence on your part will reveal the truth to you as well. The entire context of his show can be filed under support of the military.

Quit parroting moveon.org quotes and use your brain for a change.

Thank God there are sane people out there who actually understand the facts before they drink the MoveOn.org coolaid.

Read the other comments. The answer is there. No such thing was said.

If you crazy leftists would just listen to the guy long enough, and with an open mind, you would actually learn something about what's going on in the world.

Understand that Rush is first an entertainer and it entertains me everyday when I hear him completely annihilate your crazy arguments about why our great nation is the bad, evil empire in your eyes.

Try it, I dare you. Many a liberal has fallen to the Limbaugh logic. If you think you're right give it a try. Just promise to keep an open mind.

Talk about hypocrite! How about Murtha who accused our troops of being no better than Nazis or Gulag police or Po Pot murderers. Oh yeah, and he supports the troops.

That's not even clever. There is no hypocracy except for those who support this twisting of what Rush plainly said. Anyone who listens to the whole segment or reads the script, even without knowing Rush, can easily see that his comment is about people pretending to be vets. The only spinning going on is from those who perpetuate this lie, yet never once reprimanded Democrat John Murtha for accusing our brave soldiers for being cold murderers in Haditha, without knowledge of the evidence, let alone there not yet having been a trial. Now there's the real disgrace and hypocracy.

He was talking about a specific guy, Jesse McPherson, who claimed to have been an Army Ranger and said he participated in atrocities while stationed in Iraq. Only problem, the guy was kicked out of the Army after 44 days, hardly enough time to complete basic, AIT, Ranger School, Jump School and make it to Iraq. There are several other guys like this, these are the phony soldiers Rush was talking about. But being a Leftist, I guess you think if someone is in the Army for 44 days, they are a real soldier.

Last night I heard an interview with a U.S. Senator who admitted to only haing read part of the transcript. Part? The whole bit was 2 minutes long, pretty convenient to only read 2 words. Seems you did the same thing.

I don't see it, though I suppose it could depend on the nature of the 'spin' aplied.

If you take the position that criticism of 'phony' soldiers was only directed at those who were actually lying about serving, then there's no contradiction. If you take it to imply that any veteran who later goes anti-war should have his status revoked for the 'betrayal,' it's narrowing 'supporting the troops' to supporting /active duty/ troops.

You must be a brainwashed moron if you can't tell that media matters spun this issue! It's beyond obvious that he was talking about soldiers that fake like they served in combat to get veterans benefits! It's also obvious that Rush has been a strong supporter of the troops for decades! Further discrediting this pathetic attempt to smear an American patriot!

Well, I was going to answer this nonsense...but others beat me to it. But you won't listen...because you don't WANT to...

But I will add this.....

The only reason this is happening is because of the "Betray Us" ad....something that cannot be taken out of context because anyone who can read, can ascertain what the ad said in plain English.

Once again, the dim's were caught with their pants down....and although they should be used to it by now.....they will try anything....spin any statement....argue a proven fact...bold faced lie, knowing intelligent people will know they are lying.....all in the name of taking the spotlight off their crap load of ineptitude's!!!

Hey Chi-Guy,
I don't have to "spin" Rush's statement. You obviously don't listen to him, or you would know that this whole NON-ISSUE is just that, a NON-ISSUE.
He has never, and will never, insult actual members of our military.

Good God, do any of you actually do any research?

By the way, I have had family members serve in all of the wars over the past century, so my loyalty to the military is probably higher than yours will every be.

As usual, you are full of carp. I am willing to bet you did not even listen to the conversation. Mr. Limbaugh did not say anything wrong on the subject. Those who are totally out of line: Harry Reid, Tom Harkin, chi guy.
