My son b-day is 2-9-05 my second son is 1-9-06 (11 months) and then my third is 1-9-07 (12 months). I was not breastfeeding either of them. I planed the second child but we did not plan the third.
i love it that they are s close I could not imagine them any different or not having one another to play with. It is also great that they are all boys! It is hard at times because they are different ages and at different stages but as stressful as my days are sometimes and as much sleep as I loose it really is all worth it!!
I just keep thinking of the day when they are all in school together, and high school and how close I hope they are always!

My son and my second child (on the way) will be 22 months apart. I'm not breastfeeding now. This pregnancy was planned =) There is no minimum time limit when you can get pregnant again. But it is recommended that you wait until your 6 week checkup to make sure everything is healed and back into place before having sex again. Some docs say to wait a year to let your body heal from the first birth...but I know tons of people who didn't and their children are just perfect.

My kids are 16mos apart. I was breastfeeding my son when my daughter was conceived and had very irregular periods. We did not plan so close in age the plan was possibly 4-5 years. I have known kids to be less than a year apart but the more time between pregnancies allows your body to heal properly. By the time I weaned my daughter off the breast at 20 mos I was absolutley exhausted from 2 pregnancies so close together. I had to wean my son at 10mos becaue I was so tired from the second pregnancy and breast feeding so I would never plan them this close together EVER! Although now they are 3 and 4 and it great. They have always had a play mate and my son never remebers being an only child. Now I am pregnant with baby 3 and I tell you it was nice having this space in between to rest:)

My mom's friend's kids are only 11 months apart. Which means that she got pregnant 2 months after giving birth to her first. She was breastfeeding and did not have a period so she assumed that she cannot get pregnant. I guess, no one told her that she could get pregnant. She was only 19. And of course, the second pregancy was not planned

My daughter is 11 months old and I am 28 weeks pregnant with my second. No, this pregnancy wasn't planned. My daughters will be 14 months apart when this baby is born. I've had some health problems this time around (nothing too serious) and I think it is because I got pregnant so soon after my first, ideally you should wait at least 1 yr for your body to get back to normal. Oh, and I wasn't breasfeeding when I got pregnant.

My children are 31 months apart. My friend's children are 16 months apart. She was breastfeeding when she got pregnant the second time around. The first 3 of my mom's children are 15 months apart each. She did not nurse any of us. Another friend of mine is exactly 361 days older than his younger sister. His mom was nursing him when she got pregnant with her second child.
Everyone's situation was different. Since I had a c-section when I had my first, my doctor recommended I wait at least 2 years before getting pregnant again--just for the sake of recovering.

I have 2 girls - 18months apart - hard at first but enjoyable once the second one can sit up and play. I breastfed both - second time time it was much easier - I used to feed my baby while playing with my eldest - I didn't have to say wait I need to prepare a bottle - I felt I had more time with her while feeding my youngest as breastfeeding is always ready.
It is much easier going out of the door - just take nappies - no more ! No bottles, powder, hot water etc .... and it is free ... I fed my youngest for 14 months
