I know we all want our team to win the Cup, and there is only one winner and 29 "We'll get 'em next year" promises. But I'm asking you to take a shot at it any way you like.

I see the Flyers finishing second in the division and fourth in the conference at 40 wins, 34 losses, 8 ot losses, for 88 points.

( Keep in mind, I also predicted that the Eagles were going to win the NFC East at 10-6, so if you make a bet using my predictions - I think you are looking to lose some moolah. )

I am going to temper my expectations this year, that way I get the both worlds. If they don't do well, I didn't have high expectations, if they do, it is a nice pleasant surprise- atleast that is my game plan, reading too much Philly Inq.
As for the Iggles, UGH, how about some O-Line help please. Winston Frickin No Justice. Shows you that these scouting combines aren't the be all, end all.
Further bad news is that the Phillies are down 1-0. They need a big win tomorrow. I am trying to arrange to be at Saturday nights game in Denver since I will be enroute to Vegas anyway so I NEED them to do well. I don't want to be amid any Rockie celebration, otherwise kill me now Bill and put me out of my misery.

I am a Penguins fan and I cant see them missing out on the playoffs. I see us finishing first in the division and in the top 3 of the conference. We will have over 100 points. After last seasons playoff run, I have to say that I expect more this season. Crosby will again be a major force and will still have improvement. Malkin and Staal will have the same. A few new vets will help improve our leadership. I am expecting big things.

I am a fan of the league, the Sabres being my hometown team, I expect the sabres to fall middle of the pack this year, they still have a solid team, I don't expect a from the gate 10-0 start, I don't expect an almost wire to wire season, but I see them pulling fourth or fifth place come playoff time, and second behind Ottawa in the Division. I don't think Toronto, Montreal or Bpston did enough to unseat either Buffalo or Ottawa from atop the division, but I think Ottawa is going to best Buffalo in the regular season this year.

My team is Chicago
I expect them to go 98-0-0 this year, winning the Central Division, the Western Conference, and the Stanley Cup

However, they have yet to meet my expectations so

I'm looking at battling for 2nd in the Central Division with Nashville and St. Louis.

In addition, I think we are also battling for the 8th playoff spot in the west with the above teams and Minnesota (and a 1st round ouster at the hands of the Red Wings)

I expect the Minnesota Wild to go pretty deep into the playoffs but they do not have the team to win.

I hope the Calgary Flames do okay but I am afraid of their new head coach.

I think San Jose will do really well and I really want a Canadian team to win the cup or at least an american team that has snow.

Just making the playoffs in the West is a big accomplishment (there will be some VERY good teams that won't make it) However I think my Canucks will be 4th or 5th seed.

Minnesota and Colorado will surprise, Anaheim and Calgary will dissapoint. Vancouver will prove that it wasn't just a fluke last year as they have a better team than people think. (and thats just fine by me - you'll see we'll score a lot more goals this year)

Second in the Southeast and a #6 or 7 playoff spot, possibly 1st in the division.

The canes are pretty strong this year.

Well, don't we all EXPECT (at least deep down) for our team to win the cup. If you got enough confidence in them, you should be think of nothing less than Lord Stanley

But realistically, I see the Lightning once again right on the bubble of Division Champions.

I expect my team (Pittsburgh Penguins) to contend for a playoff spot, fighting off challenges from the Flyers, Rangers, and Devils for Atlantic division supremacy.

I expect my Leafs to make the playoffs this season at the 6th seed or under. I think they'll make it past the first round, but anything after that I really doubt it. It's basically the same team as it was last year.
