Why is it that places like Mexico, Thailand, and the Netherlands can have prostitution but the US can't?
For example, here in Mexico, the red zones usually located on the outskirts of the city. The girls are tested and carry health cards. There are no pimps, and the girls aren't addicted to drugs. Nobody gets hurt. Free trade all the way.
But in the US, only one state has legalized it.
What's the big deal? What are the cons against legalizing the world's oldest profession?

I said only one state has legalized it. I was obviously referring to Nevada!

Crime happens everywhere, not just in prostitution zones.
