Hi everyone, can you please help me? I need to figure out what a daughter of a land owner would do that lives in the middle colonies. Please answer these questions!!!

Well the daughter of a land owner would most likely come from a more upscale background than most. In order to have any kind of status in colonial society, a man must own land. In fact, I believe that was the only way one could vote: which is why voters were all wealthy, Caucasian, males. They would be dressed proper, in a full dress complete with corset, bonnet, and petticoats. They would probably live on acres of land or if their father was a merchant, live in the cities. Her daily life would be preparing herself to become a mother and a wife such as doing the daily chores, cooking, and cleaning. She would learn to read and write, but chances of getting a job would be slim. Literacy was a status symbol. A well educated woman would have been something to be desired.As for her prospects, there would be no prince charming sweeping her off her feet. Rather, she would probably have an arranged marriage of some sort to another landowner and expected to raise a large family like the one she grew up in.
