'Front runner' status is a funny thing. It's prettymuch determined by three things. What the party hacks say leading into the primaries. What the media types say durring the primary. And, of course, who rakes in the most campaign contributions.
I've never noticed it having much to do with the ideaology of the candidate. 'Electibility' seems much more important.

That is the same argument I've made. She supported the war from the get-go. But you have to realize that everything Hilary does is a smart tactic. She has many supporters and her support mostly comes from her anti-war stance. She is a phony, but I would still vote for her. She is better than most.

Times change, circumstances change. Do you have exactly the same ideas and opinions you had 30 years ago? How about 4 years ago? How about yesterday? Everything isn't static it is dynamic and as such it changes. People who can't change with the times are left to live in the past. Look at the Middle East, some want to live in the 14th Century because they have stubbornly refused to change with the times. Now they have big problems.
