It is a 98 dodge durango/SLT. It would cost me 1,500 dollars to replace the engine. I would probably end up selling it if I did fix it. Is it worth it or should I just give it to the junk yard and get whatever.

Whats the condition of the chassis? Is it rusty or super clean? If its still in great shape, id replace the motor , give it a super clean and detail job then turn around and sell it for at least what you paid for it or more - the junkyard wont give you much for it.

You are not going to get more than a couple of hundred from a wrecking yard for the truck. If you plan on selling the thing anyway I think the best thing to do is to put an ad in the local paper and see what you can get for it, there is probably someone out there who is willing to come up with 400 or so for the truck.

If you want to stay with that vehicle go ahead and spend the money, remember that you already spent money on buying it don't give it to the junk yard 3 grant are not easy to get
