Is It Possible For A Parent To Not Love A Child..??

I wish I could say no that it's not possible but it is!! Some people don't have a conscious or they are so into themselves or what they are dealing with in life that they truly don't care!! I know of several people that are this way, one had done drugs the whole time that she was pregnant, the baby was born with so many problems that he will never be normal, she left the hospital and the baby without even giving him a name and she never looked back, just went back to her drugs!! It makes me crazy that there are people like this because I was never able to have children and would have done anything to have one and people like that are able to have them!!!

There have been times when I have not liked my Children (have 4 ranging from 14-27) for different reasons. But couldn't say I didn't love them.

I really don't know if it possible for a Parent not to love their Child - that's a good question and look forward to reading the answers you get.

Although I don't understand it myself I have seen too much proof of abuse to know that there are people in the world who's development was somehow cut off, they lack a conscience or any sense of empathy or sympathy for others. These people generally had something that stinted their social development at a crucial time. I don't know what might change this problem but I know from what I read that it certainly happens.-Rachel.
