A blood test would have told them.

Why should anyone want to cover that up? I was surprised that there weren't more "Princess Di" questions earlier. The whole thing is a waste of taxpayer's money. She died in a road accident in a tunnel in Paris running away fom cheapskate photographers. The idea that the Royal Family,or some government agency had her killed is ludicrous. How exactly do you contrive for a well arnoured car to crash into a concrete pillar in the middle of Paris. Al Fayed needs to get over it. Accidental Death, no greater loss to the human race than one of our loved ones and just why we are spending all this money eludes me. I recently did Jury Service and the regional Crown Court tell me it costs a court £1000 a day to sit. That's taking into consideration the dipsticks that plead guilty at the last minute. This so called inquest will cost the British taxpayer millions. Accept the French verdict. Who cares whether she was pregnant or not? Does that make any difference?

I remember reading 2 conflicting autopsy reports, one stating she was pregnant, one stating she wasn't.
We will only ever be told what the establishment want us to know about Diana or anything else. So I don't hold out much hope in this latest enquiry into her death.

If she was pregnant, this would have been unacceptable to the royal family, so a conspiracy theory is always going to arise. To have the future king ex wife and mother of his children pregnant and most likely married to an Egyptian Muslim would have been beyond the royals comprehension.
As to whether Diana was pregnant according to her close friend no she defiantly wasn't, but will we ever know ? i doubt it

they would have definitely known if she was pregnant or not, unless perhaps she was only a few days pregnant. its whether they would choose to release the info i guess. I don't go too deep into this sort of speculative situation but even I get the feeling we don't know the whole story here.

What a load of baloney!!its very easy to tell if someone was pregnant or not. This sounds like a huge cover-up and makes me even more convinced that she WAS pregnant (and was assassinated because of it)

The reason the question has been posted sonny is its 'news & events' because the authorities are having an inquest. this is a very good question and it makes you think.

If a woman has been pregnant for just a few days it would be difficult, if not impossible to tell. It was reported that she was on the pill so I think that it would be very doubt full is she was pregnant. Bad new for Al Fayid who was hoping she was as it give him another excuse to support his "murder" theory.

Probably a daft question as haven't had a chance to read or see news today but how did they KNOW that she was taking the contraceptive pill?
