You are absolutely right on the money, as usual. More likely, Bush is protecting the profit margins of the drug companies by banning supposedly 'unsafe' Canadian drugs but lets kids play with toys covered in lead imported from China.

Money. Canadian drugs are not harmful but are regulated by the government regarding pricing. Pharmaceutical companies in the US do not make as large a profit if Americans go to Canada to buy their drugs. Again money regarding China, Americans want cheaper goods China can make it happen, they do not have nearly the restrictions on production and safety we have here. Corporations offshore jobs to China to save a dollar. It is always about money.

Bush doesn't 'want' to protect us from anything. If he did he would do something about the number 4 killer of Americans today, which is pharmaceutical drugs. If he 'wanted' to protect us we wouldn't be where we are now as a country.

solid factor. looks like an absurd hyprocrisy stating the comparable drugs, from the comparable producer sent to Canada are risky....yet tainted toothpaste, lead based paint on infants toys, and posion loaded puppy meals pass freely from China. undesirable sidestep attempt via the administration to spin the reality. The administration interest is to guard the ridiculous income margins via the pharmeceutical businesses. Canada, on the different hand, has a cap on the income margins to guard the patron from getting taken great thing approximately. businesses could have the remarkable to make an exceedingly healthy income, yet it fairly is a diverse tale from gouging each and every penny you are able to squeeze from the elderly for drugs they %, in some circumstances just to stay alive.

You have a trade deficit with your grocer? Do you need to be protected from that too?
There is nothing terrible about having a trade deficit. We get their stuff, and they get our money. They then take that money and invest it in America, loan it to us, or buy things from us that aren't so easily measured.

Because he wants to protect the wealthy pharma company's while the Chinese slowly poison us to death. It pisses me off since Canadian grass is so much better than ours. Did I just say that?

Samantha nailed it. Bush gets far bigger campaign donations from the chinese than he does the cheeseheads.
Funny to hear the republicans complain about all the chinese money donated to the Clintons. They're actually about even.
