What is the quick "unseen" image they used to put in shows and movies untill it became illeagel?

It was a image that people would flash in movies. it was so quick that the human eye coundent see it but your brain would recognise it and it would make you think about it. - it is no longer legal

as i was told it wasnt one image but diffrent ones usually popcorn or something that would make you want to buy something from the snack stand
