I'm particularly interested in those of you who claim she has no chance. Is your strategy to just ignore reality and ignore the support she keeps steadily gaining? Or is there a candidate that has proven to be so strong for the Republicans that they seem poised to destroy her?

Right now the Republican Party is in a fever trying to settle on a candidate that even represents the party line and can pull in the evangelicals and the conservatives as a whole. What is your strategy besides just repeating over and over she isn't electable despite the evidence to the contrary? Perhaps you all think if you say it often enough it will magically come true.

Despite rivals' efforts to portray her as too polarizing to win the general election, a clear majority of those surveyed, 57 percent, said Clinton is the Democratic candidate with the best chance on Nov. 4, 2008. The percentage saying Clinton has the best shot at winning is up 14 points since June.

Even with the avalanche of publicity the Clintons have received, the Post-ABC News poll suggests that there is more than name recognition at work.

Since early September, Clinton has picked up support both among Democrats (up 9 percentage points) and independents who lean toward Democrats (up 16 points). For the first time, a majority of married women, 56 percent, back Clinton. There is little difference between people who are tracking the campaign closely and those who are paying scant attention: Majorities in both groups said they would vote for Clinton if the election were held today

I am a Republican and don't think there is anyone running for the GOP that can beat her. Newt was the only possible winner against her and he refused to run because he wants to build up the new program he is working on.

Honestly I can't stand Rudy Giuliani. The guy is almost as bad as John McCain. Both of them are Democrats in Republican clothing.

Fred Thompson waited to long to enter the race and his views on certain this are way to radical for my liking.

Mitt Romney is a great guy, but he has flip flopped on way to many issues for me. Besides I don't think he can beat her even though I think he will be the GOP candidate.

The others don't really count since they have less than a zero percent chance of winning the nomination.

No, had Newt Gingrich thrown his hat into the ring. The GOP would win hands down. As it stands billary will be the next president.

The radical left is so consumed by Bush-hatred that they think that everyone is foaming at the mouth like they are. The truth is that most people DON'T CARE that much. Built into that "disapprove" of Bush number are a lot of people who are pissed about the economy but still like Bush personally and would still vote for him over Gore or Kerry. A LOT of those people are registered Democrats. Yes, the Obama people thought that a "generic" Republican would be a push-over in a year that was made for the Democrats. The hard-line Democratic leadership is very divorced from regular registered Democrats. They always think that ALL Democrats hate the GOP as much as they do but most Democrats will vote for Dems and GOP candidates pretty equally. The hard-liners and Obama people didn't count on McCain who is the candidate from HELL for them because he is well-known and well-liked by the American people in general. He was a dark horse because he always raises money poorly and wasn't the favorite in the GOP field. McCain hits ALL the right notes to pull away the so-called "soft" Democrats. He STARTS off in the MIDDLE where presidential elections are WON. The Democrats are stuck with another elitist who is further to the left than either of the past two losers. They never learn. .

There is no doubt that Hilary has the most press. All that means is that those who vote by name recognition only will probably vote for her. Those who vote because they think its an important right will be more discerning. Some will vote for her because she is a woman, some because she has convinced them that she believes what they do, some because she isn't a republican. I don't think that any of these reasons is going to be enough.
I think that the next president is still under the radar. I think that a third party candidate will take it this time because the American public is sick of the status quo, and wants this Country to stand for something again.
Just my opinion.

they will never concede that they are whipped.
they told us that the Republicans were the choice for the churches and became the party of family values. While sending thousands of young men to their deaths.
Most believed them, the public is very stupid but I do think this time they have wised up. they are for money, big business and the oil companys, lets kill a few people to keep the economy going. That is being a Christian?

i am a republican and anyone who says she has no chance is simply in denial. she is in fact the odds on favorite to be our next president. the plan to beat her tho, is for politicians to do what they always do...try to dig up as much dirt, tell as many lies as they can about the person and hope for the best.

A year long smear campaign, calling her names and insults. I can't think of any other way. Hopefully, what worked in 04 won't work in 08
