could i be pregnant?

Question

I went to the doctors a couple days ago for a usual checkup but he wanted to a blood test this time. So my results came back today and he said nothing to me about pregnancy... just that my blood is low and he thought that was odd. So he cant really understand and thats why he's sending me to a specialist. So i'm sitting at home and thinking... could low blood mean i'm pregnant?? or would a blood test show no matter what? even if it's too early to find out. Because now i'm 3 days late on getting my period and i think i'm pregnant. Should i go waste money and go to the store to take a test or just be sure that if i got a blood test done that it would of shown?? Please i need some advise

I don't understand what you mean when you are saying that your blood is low? What about your blood is low?

Unless the doctor specifically checked for pregnancy, they would not have known you were pregnant. It's a separate test, not part of normal blood work.

Call the doctor's office and ask if they did a pregnancy test. If they didn't, then go out and buy a home test. Three days late for your period is not too early to find out.

Not true, my blood lied. I thought I was pregnant so I went to the health clinic to find out. They did a blood test a few days after my missed period and it came back negative. Told me it was stress from starting college. I went on my way and eventually three months later found out I was indeed pregnant. So BLOOD DOES LIE!! True story.

low blood could mean low blood sugar levels, or that your white cell count is higher than your red, white cells are the ones that can cause health prolems, as for being pregnant i would'nt waste money just yet, go see the specialist & find out what they have to say your period may be late due to the problem your gp wants assessed by specialist. hope this helps don't worry it will be sorted good luck x

No, it would def. show up if your pd was due 3 days ago. From what you say here, I'm almost 99.9% sure you are not. Blood doesn't lie and hcg ((the pregnancy hormone that is in blood)) starts being made immediatly after the baby implants. So no, I don't think you are. I'm pregnant and my period was only due 3 days ago and my HCG is 145, so it would show by now.

Before you go to the store and buy a test I would call the dr. back and find out if he ran an pregnancy test and what it said. If he didn't run one then I would go get the test at the store.

i don't think getting the testing unit is a waste of money- think of the peace of mind, surely its gotta be worth it.

In my mind unlikely, blood pressure isn't usually related to pregnancy but hey, i'm not a doctor!

maybe there is something else happening.

It happen to me too, I skip my period like for 2 months and then i got it for like 3 weeks ... It was "hormonal irregulations" cause by stress, so yeah a lot of things could cause you to loose your period not necessarily for being pregnant

i would wait a few more days then go get a pregnancy test. i got a double pack from wal mart for $5 and they both worked

You have to have sex to get pregnant. An EPT test is only $1 @ Dollar Tree.

i still dont get what low blood means. just get a hpt and find out tonight before you loose any sleep over it
