Many animals eat plants and a few plants eat animals (although in the long run all animals decompose into materials that plants use for nutrition).

Some animals like sloths have plants growing on their fur. Some animals make nests inside plants or from plant materials.

Plants can be a source of water for desert animals. Animals (like crocs) can alter the ground levels near water sources so that plants can access water from the holes dug.

Some animals live in the shade of plants. Some plants (tree seedlings) benefit from the sunshine after animals browse adjacent plants and eliminate shade.
