Everything. October is a freaky month here. Well, its always a freaky here weatherwise. Sorry to tell you that it is very unpredictable. Temps range from 30-80 typically (and that can be in the same day). If weather is not extreme expect 50s and 60s during the day. We usually get our first frost around that time too. Bring pants, short sleeves, but also some long sleeves or sweater to layer. Also, definately bring a reasonably warm jacket just in case. You will definately need a coat if you plan a visit to the mountains (there's already snow there). You can try checking weather forcasts just before you come, but often they aren't accurate.

Everyone's suggestions are right-on target.

Today we are supposed to have a high of 84, but Sunday we are supposed to have rain/snow mix and a high of 58 or so...

California cold and Denver cold are two different 'feelings' since our air is relatively dry... even though it's mid-60's outside, it feels warmer than mid-60's in California.

Nevertheless, if you bring a jacket, sweaters, jeans or long pants and definitely socks -- you should be fine... layers always work well here.... most importantly, don't forget sunglasses -- it can be very bright outside!!!!

Have a great time, you will love Colorado.

Both the other answers are correct. The weather can be so different on a daily basis. Bring shorts, tees, long pants, and a jacket. Don't forget socks, when it gets cold out or there is snow those tooties get cold. Have fun. It's beautiful here.

Lots of layers. Days can be 70s and nights can be 20s. It's the dry weather and the altitude.

It's 90+% beautiful weather at that time, but you can run into snow, especially in the mountains.

I agree with Anova geek. I've seen day time temp. in the high 70s and also the 40s .....Night temps 35-40. We always get a couple of inches of wet snow before the end of the month.
