When you talk do you listen?

I do, and people like me for that... so I often wind up becoming the inadvertent 'shrink' here at work (I even have a BA in psych to back up my advice). I work with a bunch of women and they always talk about personal stuff all day so I try to be a good listener and also to not put my foot in my mouth!

Yeah. Mostly I preview what I'm going to say before I speak...
that way I don't have to listen to me...
IF you meant do I listen to the other person/people in a converation: Yes.
I find that most people don't listen. (There IS a difference between listening to the other person speaking, and listening for the silence when they stop...)

All the time! How else would you know that you're busy saying something stupid or inappropriate. But then again, English is not my first language, so listening to *exactly* what I say (&how I say it) is rather important.
Listening to yourself also gives you better insight on the kind of person you are. It sounds a little preachy, but hey... *shrugs*.

I try to, so that I cud talk a bit more smarter. bt about people talking and me listening....... well I dnt listen when I'm nt interested, I pretend that I am.

I am learning a lot of things this last week, and boy do I listen!

Yeah,but i still say stange things half the time just 2 irritate my friends.They do the same thing.
