Must see attractions:
Well, each Casino has it's own unique 'feature' ... The MGM Grand - a Lion's den, NYNY - a Statue of Liberty and a replica of Downtown NY with a dueling piano bar, Harrahs has a great outdoor party area with live music and a bar, Ceasars has a great shoping district with statues that 'come alive' and perform a show, Mirage - The White Tigers, Mandalay Bay - Shark Reef, Venetian - Gondola rides (for your romantic setting), Treasure Island - A Pirate Show.
All of the above are free except the Gondola rides.
Also go to Harrah's and take the free shuttle to Rio. Rio is the party place. They have a live show suspended from the ceiling which moves around the casino overhead. Also take a cab to downtown Las Vegas to the Freemont Street Experience (free).
Stay at a nice hotel the night of your wedding and stay at a cheap hotel the rest of the nights ... You are never in your room anyway.
The Luxor is a cool Pymarid shaped hotel and generally one of the cheaper hotels on the strip. Other cheap hotels have already been mentioned .. Circus, Circus .. Imperial Palace, Sahara, etc.
Cheapest buffets on the strip - Circus Circus.
Night Clubs:
Coyote Ugly @ NY NY
Studio54 @ MGM
VooDoo Lounge @ Rio
Wedding Chapel ... There are some cheezy ones toward downtown or the better ones on the stip. Flamingo has a nice one out in a courtyard area. Check Rio also.
Place for Romance - Again, the gondola rides @ the Venetian. Otherwise, ALL of Las Vegas .... it is Las Vegas.
Things to see:
The top of the Stratosphere $10/each
Roller Coaster @ NY NY $12 / each
M&M Store - Free
Margaritaville
Water Fountain show @ Bellagio - Free
Volcano @ Mirage - Free
As some of the others have metioned ... a week and half is probably too much ... especially for your first trip to Vegas. Really 5-6 days is plenty.

hey. Las Vegas is great - you will love it. I just got back from there. Ok, so things to see. You HAVE to go to grand canyon and hoover damm while you are there, You can book the 2 in one tour which will take your to both. Have a look online. You have to see the evening shows - the fountains at the bellagio and the pirate show at treasure island are highly recommended. Obviously all of the casinos are very impressive and you have to visit them. The stratosphere towers is maybe worth a vist - there are few gift shops in there and then 3 rides. Although the rides are $9 each, it is worth doing the rides to know you have done it. The NASCAR is quite cool. New york new york is the exact replica of the actual new york and the roller coaster is quite impressive. Seigfriend and roys dolphin habitat is good - has dolphins and tigers in there. I didnt see any night clubs when i was there, but all of the entertainment is in the casinos. There are so many and they are packed out on an evening. You can buy a card which will get you into the attractions alot cheaper. it is called las vegas attraction pass - it might be worth checking it out online - we purchased this. There is a bus which goes up and down the strip, it costs $5 for a day pass and is very useful. If you have an email adress i can email you more info that i have researched for my own trip. I also have a picture of a wedding chapel.

A week is too long in Vegas. I would make sure that you visit all the hotels and casinos that you want, they are all different and unique. Buy the monorail pass $9 a day when we were there in July. You may want to look at renting a car for a day or 2 and go to the grand canyon and the drive to Los Angeles is about 3 hours and you can see the beach or do the tour of the stars home etc. Night clubs are really pricey...$20-30 a person to get in. Shows are also up there, I recommend the Blue Man Group and Zumanity. The New York New York has a roller coaster, the Venetian has the gondolas, the Mirage has the Tigers. Be sure to walk the strip and catch the shows like the Bellagio fountains, great at night,; Treasure Island has the pirate ship show; the Mirage has the volcano eruption, also pretty at night. Must go downtown and see the lights on Freemont Street. Dick's bar in Excaliber was a cool bar, they are a bar where the bartenders are ***** to you and they make you hats to where; pretty funny. I got married there back in 2003 at the Princess Wedding Chapel in the Greek Isles Hotel. Older hotel off the strip cute chapel. Well good luck and congrats on your wedding.

With that budget, you'll want to stay in a cheaper hotel so that you have money for food and shows. Circus Circus, Sahara, Stratosphere, Flamingo, and Imperial Palace all have pretty cheap room rates. They aren't fancy places by any means though.
The Wynn, Bellagio, and Venetian are all beautiful places, but also the pricier ones.
Some good shows: any Cirque de Soleil show is great, but pricey; Penn & Teller is hilarious and amazing; Elton John is unbelievable; and Jubilee is a traditional show girl show.
Some cool attractions are the top of the Stratosphere, the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, the Dolphin Habitat at Mirage, Madamme Toussaud's Wax Museum at Venetian, and the Lion Exhibit at MGM. I also think that NYNY is a really cool casino, and the roller coaster is a lot of fun.
One of the best nightclubs is Pure at Caeser's. There are also some other good clubs in town.
I would eat one or two nice dinners, and then try to budget. The food is expensive in Vegas, but you can find some decent bargains.
I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about wedding chapels. Some people got married at Caesar's while we were there and they have a beautiful outdoor garden for that.
Good luck and Congrats!

Hey, welcome to Las Vegas! There are several hotels which cater to families with children, the 3 with the best pools for children are the Mandalay Bay, the Excaliber, and the Circus Circus. Of course Circus Circus has a great amusement park, which is airconditioned, and the pool there is great for kids. The Mandalay bay has the best lazy river, and a great kids pool, but the 3 year old may be too young to enjoy the wave pool, and of course they do have the shark tank, a great aquarium. Downtown, the newly remodeled "Golden Horseshoe" has a great water slide, but not much else in the kid attraction. Most all of the other strip hotels allow children in the pool, but may limit them to certain times. Gaming, shopping and dinning are Las Vegas prime attractions, and even though you may not be here for the shopping, the sales per square foot of commercial space is higher here than anywhere in the world, so while there are some very high end stores, there are also some very moderately price venues, especially the "outlet" type shopping centers, and you should figure on spend some time there, ans name brands are sold for large mark downs on a regular basis. The high temperature here right now are in the 101 to 105 range, and it cools off significantly at night. Sounds like fun, have a good time.

How about increasing your amount to 5000 lol. Anyways, that was my gf up there in the top. Guys do you think its better to drive from Florida to Las Vegas? Because i found out that they will not rent you a car if you are under 25. Does anyone know how much money it would cost to drive up there and how long does it take so we can make reservation for our hotel room when we get there?

I guess you've already been told to budget accordingly and the amount you gave was too low for 1.5 weeks vacation in LV. That said, check out the websites below for all things Vegas and answers to your questions. Congrats and good luck too!

If you're coming from the continental US or Canada $2,000 is easily doable, for a 10 day stay in LV. We go to LV 2-3 times a year for 2 weeks or more at a time and have for over 20 years and I can guarantee you we have never spent $2,000 on any trip.
>You will need to be flexible with your dates, plan to stay only one Friday/Saturday, avoid special events and large conventions. November 18th until December 28th has the best room rates of the year(If you're interested)
