2."The Diesel" Shaq

4.Kevin Garnett
5.Tim Duncan

Good question. Notice the word LOCK in the man's question.

Locks - First Ballot, sure things. Consistant Domination is all that matters, an all round game helps, so do rings.
1. Shaq
2. Duncan
3. Iverson
4. Kobe
5. Garnett
6. Kidd
7. Gary Payton
8. Rasheed Wallace, in my mind is an absolute lock.
9. Tracy MacGrady
10. Steve Nash

The names above are players who we can say without any uncertainty will get into the hall. But, are their more players who deserve to get in? Yes, I think so. There are also players who are right on the border. But I dont think it would be fair to group all of these players into the same group, largely because of age / years played.

2nd Ballot, Outsiders, Sleepers, and Long Shots:
1. Dirk
1. Vince Carter
1. Ray Allen
1. Ginobili
1. Alonzo Mourning
2. Paul Pierce
2. Billups
2. Jermain O'Neil
2. Chris Webber
3. Jerry Stackhouse (play off heroics in Dallas would help)
3. Ben Wallace
3. Baron Davis

Young Guys who will probably make it, or at least have a good shot at making it.
- LeBron James
- D Wade
- Amare Staudamire
- Dwight Howard
- Chris Paul
- Carmelo Anthony
????????????? (I am forgeting some, sorry guys)

Sorry, prolly not gonna make it, even though you are better than players already in the hall. So maybe you will make it, I Dont know? people hate on you. your name is:
- Ron Artest

Yes, Kidd, Payton, Shaq will go HoF, all the players that was giving the 50 greatest players honor will prob be locked in the Hall, but for the rest of NBA today, i sense Tim Duncan is a locked for sure. Beside him, not even Kobe can be called locked due to his negative images.

Shaq, Kobe, Jason Kidd, Kevin Garnett, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitski, Lebron James, Reggie Miller, maybe Amare Stoudamire barring no career ending injuries, Dwight Howard, Yao Ming, Shawn Marion, need more?

Scott Pollard, Danny Fortson and Ryan Bowen are locks.

Is Eric Fernsten in the Hall of Fame? Paul Mokeski? Clemon Johnson? They should be.

I don't think Shaq, Duncan, Garnett, Kobe or Kidd are good enough to make it.

Now, Adonal Foyle? That's another question!

The 3 you mentioned are good choices with Payton a lil less then the other two. Duncan and Allen Iverson are shoe ins. Vince Carter, Dirk etc will have to win rings to get in. Kobe and Kevin Garnett are also good candidate weather they win rings or not.

Kobe is a lock, he doesn't need to win any more rings to get in, nor does he have to win an MVP award. Nash will go with two MVPs, Duncan, Garnett, basically most of the guys who've been named in the majority of answers will eventually go.

Ben Wallace is a lock...to NOT make it.
There's no way Ben Wallace makes the HOF... DPOY doesn't mean anything in HOF voting.

Horry won't make it either... there are players with more rings than Horry who aren't in. Horry has no qualifications other than playing with a bunch of great teammates. Name another player with ZERO all star appearances who's in the HOF based on his playing career (not talking about guys who made it as coaches).

Again, Ben Wallace has NO SHOT (in more ways than one).
