Agression in general is an element of power and control. If you feel powerless that's a very bad place to be, so as a natural reflex our emotions trigger anger in order to empower us back to where we feel is our rightful place. If something happens that you feel you cannot change or do not have power over, you become angry. This can go so far as to be something that happened when you were a child and so now when that similar situation happens as an adult, you become angry to reempower yourself. All the way to just being mad that the light isnt' going to change and that you could be late for work. Always and Never are too words that should be very seldomly used because it's not often where always and never are both absolutely applicable.

No.

Agression can be an impulse reaction, a fight or flight mechanism. It does not have to be a reflection of anything other that a person's desire to be taken seriously, to protect their identity and strike out at those who threaten that identity. In some cases it is caused by th fear of loss of life or the fear of attack. It varies, but; it is not necessarily a reflection of violence towards oneself. I thinkit feels that way because we draw on the energy from within to sometimes motivate ourselves to fight back, but that is just us trying to draw from our emotion and use them as our strength.

But, No, agression in most cases is not that elaborate.

I believe that aggression towards others is a reflection NOT of inner violence toward oneself but of a general underlying fear, outward bound as aggression to hide itself.

though in psychiatry, aggression is define as suppressed hostility, either innate or resulting from continued frustration and directed outward or against oneself. on this definition can give us an affirmative answer on this q, but then generally and personally speaking, i still dont think so, there are circumstances that we face that provokes us to be hostile to other people. sometimes we have the tendency to act out of our character and do things on unjust manner, but it doesnt mean that we take those incidents as our patent as a person. sometimes, we need also to protect ourselves on certain occasions.

Yeah, in a way.

When we are in a punishing mood, we become cruel to ourselves & forget the milk of human kindness & become aggressive toward us first & then projection of it on others.
