In Dragon Quest 8, where exactly do you find the Metal King Spear?

This is a long explanation, so I'll try to be as descriptive as I can, but I will also include a link to a walkthrough which will be more detailed.

To access the area where you can find the Metal King Spear, you must have completed the game once. Save after completing it, and a star will show by your file. You see, there are two different endings for DQ8.

After beating the game and saving, start on this file. You will be in Argonia. You can either hunt for more monsters, or go directly to the location of the Metal King Spear, which is the Dragovian Path. Warp to the Seaview Church again, rest at the inn, then save your game. Use the Godbird's Soulstone and fly due south. Right ahead of you is a thick cloud cover and the area the Hero saw in a dream. Land there, walk up to the dragon head/stone slab and press X. You are now on the Dragovian Path. The chest with the spear is located in section B-3. This link to the walkthrough is far more detailed, and will lead you right to it.

All of this info is near the very end of the walkthrough, since it's not available until after you beat the game once. After you complete this task at the Dragovian Sanctuary, you will unlock a 2nd ending and some info about the "Hero's" past. Enjoy!

You will not find this item in the game until after you have beaten the final boss. SPOILER: It is located on the Dragovian Path B3 in a chest. You cannot open this quest until after you have beaten Rapthorne for the first time. More information, check my source.
