I found at a street fair a couple of black handcuff-sized plastic bracelets that would be just perfect for my Wonder Woman costume. The trouble is, I can't get them on! I'm a large woman and my knuckles are just a little too big. I think they might fit around my wrists, though, if I can get them on.

I'm thinking of cutting the bracelets open at the "seams", and then covering any sharp edges with black duct tape. Now, what's the safest way of cutting them open? An Exacto knife? Should I take them somewhere else to get them open? Would a jeweler do it? If so, how much would it cost?

Suggestions welcome!

I've been to the dollar stores and haven't found what I'm looking for. Most of those bracelets also can't fit over my knuckles. The bracelets I bought at the street fair were one dollar each.
