I think you mean centimeters CUBED...because squared is 2d and liters are 3d. Cubed is 3d, like liters...which is what you want.

Hi,
a) How many centimeters squared are in a liter
The liter is a measure of volume and the centimeter squared is a measure of area. The volume measure for centimeters is cubic centimeters, c^3.
There are 999.973 c^3 in a liter. As a good approximation, we usually say there are 1000 c^3 in a liter.
b) How many liters in a milliliter?
You have it backward. There are 1000 milliliters in a liter. Milli = 1/1000.
c) How many kilograms is a centimeter.
Again you have mixed units. A kilogram is a measure of mass and a centimeter is a measure of length.
There are 1000 grams in a kilogram, kilo = 1000.
There are 100 centimeters in a meter, centi = 1/100.

Hope this helps.

"How many centimeters squared are in a liter?"

Volume is measured in litres or centimetres CUBED (cm³), not centimetres squared. The relation between the litre and cubic centimetre is:

1 L = 1000 cm³

Remember that the cubic centimetre is equivalent to the decilitre, and the cubic decimetre is equivalent to the litre.

1 cm³ = 1 mL
1 dm³ = 1 L

----------

"Also, how many liters are in a milliliter?"

"milli-" is a prefix meaning "one thousandth". "millilitre" means "one thousandth of a litre". Therefore,

1 L = 1000 mL

----------

"And how many kilograms in a centimeter?"

You can't convert between them. The kilogram is a unit of mass (colloquially, you might say "weight", although they're scientifically different), while the centimetre is a unit of length. They're incompatible.

to be able to express centimeters squared (a measure of area) in terms of liters ( a measure of volume) you would need to know the specific density of the substance in questions, and another dimension (to get from volume to area) ... IE lead is heavier than water and because it has a greater (think 'heavier') density than water, its area to volume proportions woudl be different.
However cubic centimeters or cm^3 (also called cc) is a volume measurement.

generally speaking for WATER 1 cm^3 of water (read that as one cubic centimeter of water) which is 1 milliliter of water, has an approximate weight of 1 gram.

1 liter = 1000 milliliters = 1000cc (or a container that was 10cm long * 10cm high * 10 cms wide ... 10cm^3)

1 m^3 (one meter cubed) is 1kiloliter (for water)

minimize the cost of the cup maximize the cost of the lawsuit when the cup spills hot coffee on a customer. Splurge on the cup and add it to the price of the drink. At "Sky Bucks" the customers take special pride in paying too much for coffee. So just pay the marketing people a few extra bucks to hype the new cups and charge accordingly. :D
