Schwartzneggar said that Tookie had murdered 5 people and had never expressed any remorse. I can not understand why his lawyer would have not told him to say he was sorry. You see it in trials all the time. Something is fishy there.

If he'd 've expressed remorse, that may have helped...but probably not.

This is because Arnold didn't make his decision based on anything other than political expediency. Politically, the logical thing to do was...basically...nothing for Arnold - so he just let the process continue forth.

On some level, Tookie's attorneys probably knew this, so they didn't try to make a pathetic, shameful, begging attempt to save the guy at the last minute. Especially since everyone would've known it would've been disingenuous.

He was denied clemency because he was a cold blooded killer.

His "turnaround" occurs in nearly all mass murderers after conviction, especially when they are facing the same thing they so easily doled out.

I would have lost a lot of respect for the Gubinator had he let that monster continue sucking air.

It is just a shame that Charles Manson couldn't be put back into the fast tract to death after the Supreme Court's messed up ruling.

He was denied clemency because he murdered people and the sentence was death. That was never disputed, not even by him. There are no exceptions to the law. End of story.

He was denied clemency due to an obscure California law banning stupid names.

Apparently "Tookie" was just too dumb of a name to qualify for clemency.

That piece of inhuman excrement got exactly what he deserved. That mutant savage predator killed 5 people. I hope and pray that is enjoying his time in the deepest depths of hell.
