NO.NO NO Wait til the WS and you've got a team from the north playing. They'll be wearing thermals and ski masks. The end of October gets pretty cold up there. I feel that play deteriorates when it is that cold.

The calendar just doesn't allow for more teams.

8 is enough. Baseball purists have actually complained about the wild card despite the exciting September. I wouldn't want it to be like the NBA where half of the teams qualify for the playoffs.

No there should not be more baseball teams in the playoffs...if anything, perhaps it's time to shut the doors on baseball.

To many, it is no longer considered a sport.

I personally find myself changing the channel when baseball comes on...

I grew up playing the game and I loved it as a kid...now, I am out and could not care less if it disappeared into the history books.

I prefer being a fan of Soccer, Basketball, Hockey and Football.

Perhaps if baseball got rid of 75% of the regular season games so that each game meant something then maybe the interest level would grow.

Can you imagine a 40 game regular season...played exclusively over the week-ends!!!

No, 8 teams out of 30 is enough. If they wanted more teams they would just make the WS trophy go to the team with the most wins in a regular season and that wouldn't be much fun would it.

No!! Eight is plenty. If anything the other sports need less. It's stupid how in the NBA sub .500 teams make the playoffs. It should just be the best of the best.

No, eight is more than enough. The more teams that are added to the playoffs the more it reduces the value of the long grueling 162 regular game season.

I believe there will eventually be two (2) wild-card teams in each league. They will play a one-game playoff with the winner going to the LDS and the loser going home.

No with playing nearly everyday for months, a minimum number of best of 5 and 7 serieses are sufficient, at least until MLB adds lots more teams and goes above four divisions per league or merges with other leagues in other countries and creates a whole new format.

No. It would make the playoffs take too long. Even if they just added 4 more teams.. (two nl two al) that would be like another week or so of playoffs.

Might as well call it the 'NBA' if you add more teams. Who wants to see sub-.500 teams in the playoffs?
