anyone else notice that pretty much every tigers fan here (except Georgie Porgie) is a bandwagon fan? so my question is, to all you bandwagon jumpers, why did you decide to become a "fake fan"????

BTW, George Porgie needs to watch baseball tonight or something, because even though he thinks he's a baseball genius, he roots for a horrible team, and he doesn't know anything about baseball. If you Yankee fans stick up with him, you aren't true fans.

Hey, with baseball not even on main stream TV, I'll take bandwagon fans over no fans any day. The Tigers have a good and loyal set of fans. Don't let Georgie turn you off to their fans. As for bandwagon fans, don't you think it likely that popular teams like the Cubs and Yankees have quite a few of them? Heck, most little kids grow up liking teams that were winning when they got interested in baseball, so bandwagoners, they aren't so bad anyway.

3 things.
1. Everyone here is not a bandwagon fan. You're here, for one thing. How do we really know you're not a bandwagon fan yourself?
2. How do you define bandwagon jumper, and how do you determine that someone is a "real" fan? What is wrong with wanting your team to win and being upset when they don't? In one way or another, most people can be characterized as being a bandwagon fan when their team actually is good.
3. This is not a Tiger-specific thing. Every team has this. Every sport does. So why picking on Tiger fans specifically? According to your ID name, you are a Yankee's fan. They've made the playoffs every year for how long now? Who's the bandwagon fan now?

Every winning team has bandwagon fans! I'm not a Tigers fan but I like to keep up with Pudge because I'm a Texas fan and he had his best years here. So if you want to call me a fake fan, whatever. I love this sport and watched if before I even understood it.
edit: And there are true Tiger fans..it's just hard to find real fans at places like this.

OK i was going to give you a very long thought out answer....But I am a YANKEE fan and also a FREIND of Georgie Porgie....this guy ,, even though he roots for a team that is ,,,,well.....not so good has set some other fans straight when I was attacked.... so you see, even though you MAY not agree with him doesnt mean he doesnt Know the Game....

not all tigers fans are bandwagon jumpers some people just feel that the tigers should have made the playoffs but i think the only reason why waz becuz of the injuries dont worry we will get them next year

Ask these Tiger fans to head over to 2121 Trumbull Avenue. If they ask, "Where's that?" or worse, "What's there?" you know they're not real Tiger fans. Say, "Good ol' Ernie." If they ask, "Ernie Who?" you know they're not real Tiger fans. While you're at it, see if they can name the Red Wings' captain before Steve Yzerman.
