This is a hard one. For when I was in college I always wanted to be the first one up, the one that everyone else had to match. (I know that's sounds a bit self serving, but I warm a good speaker and I knew I could do above average).

But as I grew up I came to find out that sometimes you learn things from others performance. Things that you can quickly adjust to your own performance and do even better.

So with me...its a toss. If I go first, I best be ready and have done all my homework and know what it is I will do.

If I go last, I will have to consider all the other performances and be able to change any of my presentation and do that much better.

I'd say both has the pressure, the first must break the ice and inspire the audience, to spell bound them so that they stick around while the last performer must keep the spellbound audience spell bound and make a lasting impression. Either way they both have a heavy pressure but each is unique in it's own way but both contribute to the overall success. without one doing it's job well it affects the others, considering the play is as a whole.

Usually the First. They have to get it right on the one go, without learning from those who go before them what to do and not to do, what works and what the judges are looking at or likely to overlook. The last one has more to work with, as well as the knowledge little else can go wrong so they might as well just give their performance. People want and expect the Last to be best, an edge that can be used to advantage.

I would say last. For the few speeches or performances for shows I have given or entered--I always wanted to go first and get it over with. So I can sit back and enjoy the rest. If I am later I don't enjoy the first as much because I am thinking more about my turn coming. Its a nervous feeling I don't care for.

I think that they both have the same pressure. I say this because the first has to try to do their best and do better than anyone else without even knowing what they are going to do. the last one has to do a better than all the other people before them

I would say the first, because everyone is looking to see how well he performs, but the last does not have pressure, since he/she already saw the rest perform, and he/she, knows how everything is going.

Last performer. Becoz people expect a good endin' and a memorable one too, so that puts pressure on the last performer that it's all up to him/her and that he/she have to perform perfectly. However it is as difficult to perform for the first performer as the middle and last!
