how do you feel when you smile at someone and they don't smile back at you ?

i 'm always smiling at people , most of the time they smile back at me , but my mother always said to me if you see someone without a smile give them yours , its sad when people don't respond to a smile ,but i will keep smiling anyway xx

Sometimes when I'm walking in the halls at school, it's a bit fast paced. When someone smiles at me, they sometimes turn their heads quickly, thinking that they should avoid eye contact with me since It seemed like I didn't return a smile, when in reality I wasn't fast enough to. In my head I usually think about people, events, so I'm daydreaming in away. It's sudden to see someone you recognize in the halls and identifying them from the crowd. Maybe people do return their smiles, but you don't take the time to wait and see them. Atleast I'd like to hope.

I noticed that most of the time people DO smile back. When they don't, I really don't let it get to me. I guess maybe they were having a bad day or something sad has happened in their life or they are weary of strangers for some reason. I also find myself smiling at others sometimes as I pass them by on the street, on the bus,or at school. I'm in the public all the time everyday--at school or waiting tables. I am used to smiling b/c it's part of my job.

It's good to smile at people. Sometimes people in there life need a little bit of cheering up. When you smile at those certain people they might be surprised because things haven't been going there way. Others might think your a creep or a stalker but it really does make people happy. Keep up the good work. We need more nice people smiling at each other in this world ☺

Depends on the situation. If its a random person somewhere, I could care less. Well to think of it I dont walk around smiling at anyone. But to answer your question I would probably feel stupid if it happened all the time. My smile would turn into a frown in no time.

I think when you smile, and they do not smile back, it does make you feel kind of bad. But the thing I realize is most people are not personally being rude to me.. I think sometimes people have alot on their minds!

I feel bad for some reason, I think to myself either they are unfriendly by nature, or are having a bad day. Usually smiles are contagious, I know when someone smiles at me, can't help but return it! :)

Sometimes I think maybe the just missed me or if I think they did it on purpose then I hols a sort vendetta against them lol.But it can make me feel embarrassed for going out of my way and making bug gesture like that only to be blanked.

i feel really sad when i smile at people cause i am being nice but they don't even acknowledge me, of course we are gonna fell bad when people do that. sorry you feel sad about that.
