In the USA the health care system is focused around private insurance. Health costs can be so high at times if the person is uninsured. There are many countries that have socialist health care systems that the government pays for the cost of the health care.

Do you feel America should have a kind of Health Care system that the government will pay for?

Some would say that because the system in America is capitalist you will get good health care quality because of competition.

Do you feel American taxpayers should pay for a universal health care system or should large corporations give more taxes?

Also what would you propose to do to make the health care benefits available for everyone? What is your suggestions and ideas on how everyone can receive proper health care without going into debt?

It depends if you have money or not....or to be more accurate: if you were smart about life or not. I love the health care because I went to college - my career pays for my health/vision/dental insurance. I have $10 copays; if I have to go to the doctor a lot I'm only responsible for $1000 in copays and the rest is reimbursed. Most things are covered 80%, all other things are 100%. I can always see a doctor the very same day I make an appointment and they have excellent communication with a huge network of specialists so getting my health problems solved is a breeze.

Well since I am a nurse I would say a really strong NO! I do agree our system now is a little corrupt and entirely too expensive, but you need to take a look at the countries that do have a national healthcare system. There's a reason people fly from all over the world to get healthcare here. Doctor, nurse, healthcare provider pay will go down, which means less qualified, and talented people will decide to pay the tens of thousands on the education towards a medical degree. It will basically come down to much poorer quality of healthcare unfortunately.

As a country, I feel that we need to focus 100% on improving this system!

Currently, we have under paid and over worked nurses and doctors that are burnt out. Not to mention, many OBGYN stopped delivering babies due to the high cost for malpractice insurance...

Rather than our money and put into SS, why not put it towards some sort of health care fund. Just as SS, this fund should only be available to those who paid into it.

As it is our SS is running out and where is it going? No one seems to be able to answer this question.

No. A single-payer healthcare system will cause many of the same problems that Canada and the United Kingdom are facing. You'll have to wait months on end for a visit to a specialist.

Something DOES need to be done about the rising cost of healthcare services, but anyone who thinks the answer is universal, single-payer healthcare probably needs to do a little more homework.

I don't see any problem with it as long as I get to keep my heath plan. There should be public health care for those who need it. Sure, it won't be the best health care available. But it is better than nothing (which a lot of Americans have). I saw keep private health care and add public health care.

While I am opposed to Nationalized Health Care, I believe it is in our future.
I think the Insurance Industry sees the writing on the wall and is now trying to get as much money out of their subscribers as possible before they are out of business...effectively hastening the inevitable.
It would be good if the tide could turn on this...but once the down hill momentum has begun, it is nearly impossible to climb back up.
With the acceptance of the inevitable...I think it is important everyone pay a substantial deductible before going to the public trough. Maybe 10% of their income as the deductable.
this will deter the incredible frivolity that comes when everything is for free.... but will prevent us from losing everything in the event of a catastrophe.

Sick people could go back to work then to pay taxes that would support this idea. Our taxes would increase dramaticlly to support this! Canadians an Great Britain pays aroubd 50% taxes for this reason!
