Where is the politician that says "Look we are going to make laws that are going to start to take noticeable effects when this age group gets this old. We are going to start these programs when I'm in office. For us that's 40, 50 and up we should start trying to prepare this world for our grandkids. For those that's 30 and 35, we need to get these programs rolling for our kids." Why we can't get a commission or a new political party that focuses on that?

I'm just saying maybe a party that have things that would benefit the children first on their agenda, and not social security and retirement for all of us that has had 50 years to figure something out for ourselves.

Better yet why don't we show our children and our grandchildren how to be involved in the process. How many parents actually talk to their children elections, voting, different arenas of thought. A program isn't necessary. Just conscientious parenting. This can also involve extended family.

Okay, so a party that focuses on long term policy effects....

Support long term policies says nothing about what those policies are. What if the long term policy is to ignore Global Warming? Or what if the long term policy is isolationism? Or interference? Wanting a party that looks down the road is fine, but it says nothing of what those long term goals should be. Refine your question.

How can you be sure that following administrations will support those policies decade after decade until they're realized?
