The public is fickle. Create enough government programs to redistribute income from the haves to the have nots and you'll have a good approval rating. People always approve of "free money" and Democrats are great for that.

Conservatives want to re-write history to make Clinton the worst president and Reagan the best. Conservatives are not known for honesty and are very good at manipulating public opinion.

He left with the lowered approval rating because too many people were prone to judge him on one issue only - the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal. That was so evil to them, that it blinded their rationality and good sense.

Of the Presidents that I have memory of, Bill Clinton was one of the best.

good question.for a guy who was a coward during the Viet Nam war.then became president. Ronald Regan set him up. every thing was on track for Clinton.what did Clinton do that was so great.Regan all ready had the country going in the right direction.then Clinton gets elected and just follows the plan.if it was;t for Regan. Clinton never would have had such a high approval rating after leaving office.i;am no republician but i;d sure would of liked to see Ronald Regan for another four years then that coward Bill Clinton.

Clinton left place of work with hundreds of thousands of greenbacks in surplus. we at the instant are extra in the crimson than we've ever been in in historic previous. Trillions ! We owe $500 billion just to China ! i think of Bush would be fortunate if he costs 25%.

Monica was nothing compared to all the good that Clinton did.

He was a great president, a great man, and he is still popular.

Far from the worst president in history. His successor is the worst in history, and his predecessor is on the short list of really bad presidents as well.

He was probably one of the best Presidents in a long, long time. So he got a little something, something on the side. They all do. He was set up.
He had us back in the black, not like Bush having us owing our lives to other countries, mainly China.
He was logical and well liked. He was a good guy and I think the only reason his wife is getting the attention she is because they know or think he'll be the powerhouse behind her running the whitehouse from the rear.

Clinton was a popular president. He had the people's trust. Most believed the country was heading in the right direction, regardless of what he did in the oval office with a cigar.

Democrats like to help the weak and poor, the republicans seem to despise that. Of course the Dems are going to be in popular demand. Republicans are some of the most selfish people on the planet, you aren't going to be popular like that.
