A physics book slides off a horizontal table top with a speed of 1.05 . It strikes the floor after a time of 0.370 . Ignore air resistance.

-Find the height of the table top above the floor.
-Find the vertical component of the book's velocity just before the book reaches the floor.
-Find the magnitude of the book's velocity just before the book reaches the floor.
-Find the direction of the book's velocity just before the book reaches the floor.(an angle)

I found the horizontal distance from the edge of the table to the point where the book strikes the floor to be 0.389 m, and the horizontal component of the book's velocity to be 1.05m/s

but i can't figure out the rest....please help

You must review your concepts.

a) h=0.5gt^2
h=0.671 m

b) Vv=gt
Vv=9.81x 0.370= 3.63 m/s

c) |V|=sqrt(Vh^2 + Vv^2)

d) A=arctan(Vv/Vh) + 180

Use Kirchhoff's regulations. Mark the present by to suitable cellular i1 going awesome. (If the path is faulty, the fee of i1 will purely come out unfavourable). in addition, mark the present by to backside cellular i2 going left. And mark the present for the duration of the middle resistor as i3 going left. we prefer i1 and i3. ___________ stick to Kirchhoff's 1st regulation to the left center junction. cutting-edge in = cutting-edge out i2 + i3 = i1 i3 = i1 - i2 (equation a million) ____________ stick to Kirchhoff's 2d regulation to the appropriate loop, going clockwise: emf = sum of voltage drops 4.0 = 8.0i1 + 2.0i3 4.0 = 8.0i1 + 2.0(i1 - i2) 4.0 = 10.0i1 - 2.0i2 2.0 = 5.0i1 - i2 (equation 2) stick to Kirchhoff's 2d to the outer loop going clockwise: 4.0 + 12.0 = 8.0i1 i1 = 2..0A (via fact that it fairly is useful, it relatively is in the path marked) placed this fee into equation 2 2.0 = 5.0x2.0 - i2 i2 = 8A (via fact that it fairly is useful, it relatively is in the path marked) From equation a million: i3 = i1-i2 = 2 = 2 - 8 = -6.0A (via fact it relatively is unfavourable, the path became the incorrect way so i3 is definitely is going awesome.) For a concern-unfastened creation to Kirchhoff's regulations, see video-lesson in links.
