TBS is not "sponsoring" the playoffs. They paid a lot of money to have the rights to broadcast the games. The boring announcers - well they are from all around the league. I am happy that they are on TBS. I get the games in HD on directv, so no complaints there. I am happy they are not on ESPN as those announcers suck. They are too loud and homers (Bermann and Gammons anyone?). Fox is also annoying with their graphics, sounds, and Joe Buck. And as for the early game - this happens every year, not just because of TBS.

It is pretty dumb how theres a game being played right now that virtually nobody is watching because were all at work. Pretty retarded if you ask me. I've never watched a game on TBS is it really that bad? Can't be much worse that Fox was. Some of the Fox announcered didn't have a clue.

I think this was a very stupid decision on the part of TBS. Not allowing a local station to broadcast games free from participating cities is ridiculous. There are people who can't afford cable, so is that the idea that cable-less people suffer during the playoffs?

To be honest, I don't know why TBS is doing it but, I did hear on Mike and Mike in the morning that if it was on ESPN or FOX, the 10:00 games would be pushed back to 11:00.

TBS sucks. Fox's coverage is greater useful, whether they do have undesirable announcers. TBS's announcers are not truly any good the two however, and their coverage is worse. i'd bypass with Fox right here.

Because the Cubs, Yankees and Red Sox are playing, so a lot of fans will watch, and Turner will make more money. I, as a Cub fan, will catch today's game on the radio. I could use the Internet or Satellite radio to catch another game if I wanted.

With the Braves no longer a Playoff team, they needed something to do.

If you still think the Atlanta Braves were the Team of the '90s... you might be a redneck!

They won the contract from MLB, which is good for them because that gets them more viewers so they get more money. But I agree, the announcers are SOOOOO boring!

highest bidder... no other reason. if you have espn radio in your area, turn off the sound and listen to them. they might not be great but generally radio announcers are more interesting than tv, because they actually have to pay attention without leaving dead air hanging
