Has anyone recently been in the Pacific Surf liner?

I would like to know what your experience was like. How was the observation car? Do's and dont's. My first train ride. What can I take on as far as beverages and food. I'm sure it's expensive to buy drinks and food onboard. Only info pertaining to this question thanks.

The coast ride is pretty cool. You get to see areas of beach that others rarely see. The cars are in great condition and, to tell the truth, I have never spent enough time to check out refreshments. This is a relatively quick trip. Generally we ride from orange county to the Race track. You'll have fun.
