O.K. this is a little hard to explain because I am a beginner sewer. I just got a new Singer 1507 and for my first project I tried to just do a basic straight stitch. The upper thread is nice and even but the lower thread bunches all up until it all gets stuck in my sewing machine and I had to cut it out and then rip out the stitch. I removed and reinserted the bobbin case and when I pull on the thread it pulls out easily. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I will admit that the instructions and diagram for inserting the bobbin were kind of confusing.

The top tention is too tight!
Play with it and try on scrap fabric until you get it right.

When this happens to me, it is because the bobbin thread has slipped out of the case. Load it with the thread tailing off into your left hand, and make sure you get it all the way down into the slot. It's tempting to try to adjust your bobbin tension by turning the little screw on the bobbin case, but don't do it. They don't give you a way to remember how far you turned it or how to get it back where it was.

When you start to sew a seam, hold both threads between your fingers, left hand behind the pressor foot. to lock the stitch in place. If you don't, you get the mess you received, aka thread vomit. Make sure your threads are long enough as well to be held on to.. Happy Sewing
