Just keep in mind that whatever you name your baby will be their name for the rest of their lives. In saying that, consider how that name is going to go over in school with the other kids - will they be teased because of it? Will it be constantly mispronounced?
Also consider how the name will work for the child when they grow to be an adult. How will the name look on a job application (according to many employers, that is a major factor, they are more likely to hire someone with a down to earth name that someone with a name that's relly different and unprofessional sounding).
Just keep these factors in mind when choosing a name and you can't go wrong! Here's some down to earth suggestions:

Puleeeeze, don't give it the name of its father if it's a boy, and don't give it your name if its a female. Give this child an opportunity for individuality. I would put the letters of the alphabet that represent the letters of your name, first, middle and last, and the letters of the the child's father. See if you can combine these letters into a positive word that can be bestowed onto your child. Forget honoring anyone's ancestors. Just give the child an opportunity to be all it can be.

I had a baby girl this summer and we had a boy and a girl's name picked out. Our daughter is Mary Kate, but if it was a boy it would have been Russell. I like traditional names. I also love Sara and Julia for girls.

look in the obituaries in the newspaper...buy a baby name book or go online....pick a name with meaning and strength...the bible has lots of good names in it....I have 2 sons: anthony and christian, 2 daughters: emily and gracie mae...a name builds character and remember they are stuck with that name for life.......

it all depends... do you want an English name or a foreign name?
my suggestion for a boy is Douglas, and for a girl, Jackeline or Lindsay.
