Somebody calls me couple times a day for a month. They are looking for person that has same last name as me. I already told that I don't know him. When I googled his name i find out that he worked in a bank in 2004. What if he stole someone's money? They don't tell why do they need him and who they are. Are they criminals and did he stole from them? What do I do?

After the first couple of times, it is considered telephone harassment. If you can recall the dates, and you feel it is necessary, you can have a Police report made out, and report the caller to the phone company.

Sounds like a collection agency to me. They will either call the last number known or some will call all names that are similar in a given area.

If it becomes too much of a nuisance:

Screen calls with answering machine
Keep a log of the calls
Ask them not to call
Use call block if calls are from one specific number
Report it to the phone company for resolution

The police need to be involved only if there are threats made, still not 911 - use the routine police contact number.

If these "criminals" show up at your door with weapons then you can call 911.

Neither the police nor the phone company will do anything for you. I speak from personal experience. I had a nearly identical experience years ago. The best thing to do is to either get caller ID, if you don't already have it and let the answering machine pick up when this person calls, or change your number. In my experience, once this person gets the answering machine a few times, he will get tired of calling. It's no guarantee but it's worth a shot. On the other hand, continuing to answer the phone will likely motivate him to keep calling.

DO NOT CALL 911 !! 911 is for emergencies. Even if you want to contact police about this (and I don't think you really need to at this point) you should look up the local police non-emergency number in the phone book.

911 is for emergencies only. This does not qualify. You can report it to the phone company or even the police if you want although I don't think they will do much about it except take a report.
Have your number changed and don't list it.

The next time (if the same person calls again) tell them firmly that that person does not live there. Inform him/her that you feel you are being harassed and that there are laws against harassment on the phone. Ask them not to call you again and tell them that you will contact the telephone company if they do so again. This is not 911 "stuff," it is telephone company "stuff."

911 will not be able to help you. See if you can work with the people who are calling you. I had calls like that, but it wasn't my name, it was the number. Once I convinced them I was not that person & that person didn't live with me, they left me alone! Do NOT give out info like your social security number. There should be other ways that you can convince them.

You can have fun with this.
Simply say, "Hold on," and let them wait!!
Then get another number for everyone else, but keep that phone.
Give them the same response, or play elevator music, disney flicks, etc.
They will give up.
