for sure #3 is a lie. His twin brother performs for the Buccaneers. alongside with #5 and #2. yet darn it, because of the fact the 1st poster became properly suited until eventually now i became... Oh properly. i think it particularly is the way it is going. yet for the checklist, Tiki Barber wouldn't have retired while he did because of the fact he would have had a championship, and sealed his destiny interior the corridor of popularity.. His option to flow to television..

University of Virginia
A Q and A with Tiki Barber

-How/why did you choose your major?
-I wanted to be an aerospace engineer at first so I could be an astronaut. But I fell in love with computers in my first semester of engineering school.

-Activities (sports, music, clubs, theater?)
-I was a trustee for the class of '97; I was also in a couple of "secret societies" like the Imp Society.

-Do you keep in touch with any of your college friends?
-Probably 15 or so. I like to catch up with some of the people I've played with at a football camp in Roanoke, Va., that my brother and I go to every summer.

-What was your favorite hangout spot?
-The Biltmore Grill. It was a bar that all my buddies worked at so I was able to get free drinks there.

-Were you a bookworm or a slacker?
-Bookworm. I was such a geek. I was busy in the computer lab programming and was so busy trying to get programs and my website to work. I spent like a year on it and they took it down right after I finished it.

-Who was your role model when you were in college?
-I had a buddy named Barry Parkhill. He was my vision of my idea of success. He was a former basketball player and eventually a director for the Virginia Athletics Foundation.

-What was the biggest obstacle you overcame in college?
-Football was so time consuming, so finding the balance to be a great athlete and also being a great student at the same time was tough. But I think I managed that.

-Tell us about one thing you did in college that still makes you proud.
-I was pretty proud of my website when it was up. Athletically, I would say playing for the first ACC team to beat Florida State. I had the biggest game of my life, and we upset the No. 1 team in the nation.

-What did you like most and least about your school?
-I loved the diversity. It was such a melting pot of people, religions, etc. I hated the fact that the student body wore khakis, ties, button-up shirts with tennis shoes and baseball caps at football games. I thought they looked ridiculous, but apparently it was some kind of tradition.

-Tell us one way in which college changed you.
-I got an understanding on how to interact with people. There was something about being an athlete that makes you seem like you're above everyone else. Over at U.Va., that wasn't the case, so I had to learn to interact with everyone and be a regular person.

-If you could go back, what about college would you do differently?
-I don't think I would do anything differently. I think my college experience was perfect. I met my wife there, and my life turned out great because of college.

-What were two things you did for the first time while in college?
-Doing laundry (I had no idea when to add fabric softener or what kind of detergent to use or anything, but fortunately the people there helped me out).

-Schools applied to:
-Clemson, Duke, Michigan

-Did you get in? Yes. I did pretty well in high school (valedictorian) and was a sought-after athlete, so I basically had my pick of schools.
