Back in 1916 things were cheap, even things that had nothing to do with what this planet has become. Newspapers cost a nickel, depending of course what area of the world you want to know about.

I can remeber growing up in the 1950's and paper was five cents, so back in 1916, probably one cent.

Ninteen dollars and sixteen cents each.
You see the year always sets the costs for newspapers, like how papers today cost $20.07. Neat huh.

I think it would have been like 1 cent or so, beacause my grandma was born in 1940 and she says that when she was at school a piece of bread cost 1 cent with butter. and with garlic 2 cents.
