1st thing you need to replace is the foundation. i tried that once and threw it away that afternoon. i was using the dream matte mousse and thought that it was almost the same. well, its not. rimmel is cheap crap. not that the dream matte is expensive or anything. but try that. it gives really good coverage and doesnt look chalky. its not oily at all. and seems to be relativly hypoallergenic. so you should be ok with that. if you feel like you need more coverage than just the foundation, try a translucent poweder too. that will mask the oily t zone - during the day touch ups. i wouldnt suggest a colored powder though. that looks too masky.
good luck

I have very fair, sensitive skin, with the same very oily t-zone and dry elsewhere. Over the years I have tried DOZENS of makeups...some cheap (Rimmel, Cover Girl, etc)...some expensive (MaryKay, Chanel, Dior). I also suffered from adult acne on top of my skin issues. No matter what I used it always looked - well, not so good!
About 2 weeks ago I decided to splurge and I bought the Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals makeup. Perhaps you have seen the "info-mercials" on TV. I also purchased a trial size of the nighttime powder that you buff on your face as well. (Sorry am at work and don't remember the exact name but it's on Sephora.com or Ulta.com)
I have NEVER tried a makeup like this before. Not only did my acne clear up in 2 days, but I do not look "made up" and there is no heavy look on my skin. Remember I am very fair skinned! My face looks absolutely flawless and yet finished off...I really can't describe it but I will never ever use "regular" makeup again. Besides my skin looking fantastic, this stuff actually absorbs all the oil that I used to wipe off my forehead all day! It truly is unbelievable. It also does not "settle" onto my wrinkles that are just starting to appear around my eyes. I recommend this product to everyone now and believe that it was worth the initial splurge of $60. I got the fairly light/light kit for my fair skin and it's perfect.
The night powder is really good too. I believe it is called "Rare Minerals" and you use this at night instead of heavy creams. It is meant for aging skin. Immediately I noticed a difference in my skin - it actually felt as smooth as a babies bottom!! Last night, just to test things out, I used my old Oil of Olay nightcream on my face. This morning I woke up with 3 very large zits on my face - one right on my chin!!!! I threw the Olay crap in the garbage!!! Now I know that "conventional" products have been the actual cause of my skin issues all these years.
Hope that helps you out!!!!

The key to applying foundation is moisturize, moisturize. Put on a moisturizer first so that the foundation has something to sit on top of which will prevent the mask effect. Remember to apply in downward strokes and if using a foundation sponge dampen the sponge first so that the foundation has something to cling to and thus glide on better.
If you have oily skin make sure to get foundation that are oil free and non-comogenic (they will not clog your pores). To try out some things you could go to a MAC store otherwise have you ever tried Mary Kay? They have really good foundations.

I would say you have to change your foundation. I used to use that but its really bad... I would use a small amount of a light moisturiser like simple (good for sensitive skin!) And then try something like L'oreal true match foundation (1 squirt is enough!) This is also great for matching skin tones... If you are worries about skin being shiny try use a small amount of clarifying powder on top... Hope that helps!

You need to exfoliate your skin regularly, 2 or 3 times a week and put moisturiser on 10 minutes before application of foundation, (use a damp make up sponge, not dry) when finished set with a light dusting of powder using a large powder brush, and I mean light, just a dab.

I got Maybelline dream matte mousse and found that very good so far. I just spread it on very thin because it does seem to go a long way. Don't put to much foundation over the oilier parts of your face. After I've put it on I just put some translucent face powder over it.

Try a mineral makeup. Loreal makes a good one for about 12$
This blends extremely well and it will make you look fresh faced and not oily.
