It means that your alive on the outside.But what really matters is are you alive or dead on the inside.

It depends. Am I human? If so, are those the only things I can do? Can I do them without help? If I can, then I am alive, because to do those things, I must have cognitive abilities. If I am on a bed, with feeding tubes, a respirator and no brain wave activity, no, I am dead.
If you mean is just walking through the day and doing the things up there, all there is living, sadly yes, just not living to the fullest.

By current standards that does make one living however were smaller lifeforms are included some lifeforms never sleep and some doesn't breath conventionally either. The better definition of the question would get a better response.

if you can do all of the above and have a pulse then you are alive. Do you think you are a ghost or what? If you think you are dead then you need help. If this is the case then call someone please.
