They make more money. They aren't necessarily more wealthier. When a 600sq ft flat costs more than twice a 2500sq ft house sitting on 2 acres of land does it explains why more money doesn't mean wealthier.
And then there's the matter of taxes. High taxes chop wealth down to size in a hurry. But blue states love taxes. Democrats never saw a tax they didn't like.

Blame it on Detroit.
It has to be VERY blue.
Blues want Socialism
Socialism equals high spending on what isn't needed.
Illinois, the state I live it, is a sanctuary state.
Mayor Daily spent more than $800 million to build a public park.
It is a really nice park, but the infrastructure of Chicago is collapsing.
The transit system is bankrupt.
All is failing and a new sales tax will make Chicago's sales tax the highest in the U.S.
They had to pass a law to limit the rapid annual increases in property taxes. People have been leaving in droves.
Millions get spent on cosmetics. Nothing on substance.
The Democrats run Chicago and Illinois.
What do you expect?

My state, New York is doing pretty good.
Truth is, manufacturing jobs all over the country are gone or going. Our economy is changing. The states that are doing well, New York, Florda, Texas, Cali etc etc have adapted to the new economy. It's not anyone's particular fault as much as it is the growing pains as a country we're experiencing.
China and India have most of the world's manufacturing. It's good and bad for us. It means our economy is more advanced and he sooner we embrace that and move to higher technologies the better off we'll be, otherwise we'll continue to experience these jobless growing pains. A lot of this growth can occur when government encourages it. At the moment our government subsidizes a lot of fossil fuels and dirty industry, that's why we continue to see more of it and less new technologies.

The reason is due to Jenny. She does not want to use business sense running state government, She never proposed a baseline budget cut accross the board. This will make the state business friendly. She is the biggest mistake that the people elected for Governor.

Blue states have more college educated residents. Most of the prestigious colleges and universities are located in democratic states. Harvard ( Boston Massachusetts ) Yale ( Connecticut ) Princeton ( New Jersey ) See the pattern?

Ms. Moody Red, Are you just trying to stir up the soup, or trying to dilute the blue vote, by getting some of the reds to relocate???
As I read some of your answers and questions, I have a preconceived Idea that you are FAR sharper than the libs give you credit for !!!
GOOD LUCK,

Generally, the population density within blue states is higher than red states.
This means that there are more people in service industries, and of course there is lots of international trade going in and out of big cities.
That also means there are lots of poor and disenfranchised people (thus the "blue state")...
Its not wonderful ... but its better. For instance, Massachusetts is about the bluest state out there, right? It is also getting the best test scores in public education.
Yup, taxes actually pay for things. What a concept.

Michigan suffers because of its reliance on the auto industry which has been utterly destroyed by the laissez-faire economic ideas of the right wing, as well as the MASSIVE support neo-cons give for cheap labor in 3rd world countries.

There are no blue states. Only blue cities and counties. Look and the detail map at a high zoom level.
