My 15 year old son, is having an 80's retro day at high school tomorrow and he wants to know what the men wore...LOL I can tell him a million things of what females wore ( i was born in 1974) but i cant remember much of what men wore ... any help???

80s teens were all about the super bright flourescent clothing from companies like gotcha, pac sun, stussy. Most of the guys I grew up with wore "skater" style. baggy knee length shorts, denim shorts, air jordans, tee-shirts usually a baseball hat.
also popular were vests with t-shirts, and black pants. or those parachute pants that MC Hammer wore.
think bands like new kids on the block, vanilla ice, mc hammer, etc. New kids probably the best representatives for mens fashion...at least the younger crowd. Most men, the yuppies wore slick suits.

Not much different than today. Jeans (jeans were tight) and t shirts. I think the main difference was longer hair, short boots and more jewelry. Try going to u tube and checking out some of the videos from that period.
My daughter hung out with her boyfriend's band, he was a drummer, and she usually looked like Madonna. I just remember tight jeans, white t shirts, and an earring in one ear.

think either Alex P. Keaton from Family Ties with the suit and skinny tie, or Nick, off the same show, Mallory's boyfriend with the white t-shirt, torn jeans, leather jacket, mullet and long dangly earring.
