I've been on/ off my period for a few days now, and I'm meant to be going swimming tomorrow, and my friends will understand if I can't come, so should I risk it or not? I was thinking no, but then I'm actually not really on right now. Please don't tell me about tampax, I already know but i just don't want to try!!!!

When a girl is on her period no matter if it's bad or not they should wear a tampon! It's not good to go swimming when on your period and not wear a tampon! Your friends understand if you cannot make it. Don't worry. If you don't want to use a tampon I'd suggest you don't go swimming tomorrow and go another day when you're not on your period!

Just go swimming and keep some extra tampons (and maybe an extra swimsuit?) in your bag. Your period still comes out when you're swimming so just insert a tampon or a menstrual cup and you'll be fine. Best of luck!

I suggest you DONT go swimming if your on your period because this is not very hygenic.... The only way to get round it is using a tampon but if you dont want to try then you have no choice but not to go!! If your friends will understand there's no problem...u can meet up with them afterwards

If you end up on your period you MUST wear a tampon if you plan on going in the water.

After the first time, there is nothing to inserting a tampon.
